Hi Joe, there was a message posted by Kristen on August 20th, titled COX2 regarding a link to the HER2support group regarding an article about COX 2. How do I access this article? I did not see it on the articles of interest section. Thanks for any help you can give me. I am interested since my onc. wants me to take Celebrex as an intervention for the hand/foot syndrome that you get with Xeloda. Thanks again.

Hello Hope,
I have AOL and I used the search engine Cox 2 inhibitors and BC and got a plethera of info. It seems there are alot of studies going on now to see if the Cox2 helps slow or prevent high risk bc patients(best used in conjunction with other agents) I have 3 sites they may be of interest to you. 2 are from the Webcenter.health.webmd.netscape.com It was written 6-11-04, they had another one written on 3-29-04 how it could increase ovarian cancer IF your body has alot of Cox 2 in it(if I understood it correctly) and a study was conducted in 2002@ www.kumc.edu/bcpc/trials.htm there are just tons of info to sift thru and I just tried to read the ones in laymans terms. Hope this helps. Take Care Kristen

Hope, the questions and links on August 20 are at the bottom of this page, I think Kathy had listed some natural remedy instead of taking the Cox 2. It is all very confusing. Just read up on what you can, ask the onc, and go where your heart tells you. Good Luck. K
