Please state the stage of your cancer too.

I think it would effect the type of follow-up care that you are having. I am particularly interested to know how they are testing to determine if cancer returns.

Thanks.

Merrideth, I was dx stage 3b,3+++ her2/er/pr-neg.
3/12 lymphnodes pos. masectomy of lt breast. Was put on 6tx of taxotere,carbo & herceptin. Herceptin for 52 weeks. finished chemo 3/29 and rads 6/1. Will finish Herc. in Dec. I have muga tests done about every 3 months. They do a cbc and chem panel every 3 weeks. No tumor markers, no scans ordered by onc. Only saw oncologist (giving her the benefit of the doubt) 5 times through whole process. Haven't seen her since the end of my chemo in March, maybe one other time. My husband said he only saw her twice and that I only saw her 2 times. If I have any symptoms to report they tell me to go see my internist and let her order tests. Seems like you ladies that answered have wonderful doctors and you should let them know that because NOT all oncologist are as generous with there time and compassion. Thanks for sharing. take care k
