What did the MD have to say? My arm sounds like yours...mildly swollen forearm, but it's been like this for a year. I wear an elastic sleeve during the day and bandage at night. Don't have to tell you that that got old a long time ago! The sleeve doesn't prevent swelling but I'm afraid to go without it for fear the swelling will get worse. (Don't like those pictures I've seen!) The manual massage process shown to me by the PT doesn't do much for it, either. I'd be very interested in anything new you hear.
Thanks,
Jackie

He RXed me Lasix which I have read is wrong. Lymphodema is suppose to be intracellular so water pills are not very effective. According to this Dr. he said it is both intracellar and extracelluar. Both my oncologist and my breast surgeon disagree. He said to brink a lot of liquids and he will check my potasium levels closely. He measured the arms with a tape measure in different areas comparing both sides. He recommended doing this daily for a month so he can see if there is any improvement. I am going to consult with another physiatrist as well.
