Hi, I was diagnosed with liver mets in Feb. 04, and have been on Herceptin/Navelbine/Xeloda since then.

I'm getting great results from this combination. My bone mets is now NED, and the liver tumors are more than 50% gone, with the ones remaining all significantly shrinking.

Xeloda especially seems to work well in treating liver mets.

Maybe you can discuss this treatment with your onc? I'm also getting great quality of life, and I DO have hair...though it is thinner than what I'm used to having, I can get by without wearing a wig.

Hang in there. I've discussed this same issue with my onc, as to what we would do if this combination ceases to work for me, and he said "there are still lot's of treatments to try"

Thank you Esther. Actually, I have been put on Herceptin+Xeloda. (I already tried Herceptin+Navelbine, which was very succesful at the beginning but stopped working after a while. I was then put on Herceptin+Cisplatin but that did not work at all!).
Doctors here though, do not seem to know much about this combination, her+xeloda.
Can you tell me the dosage you were given? And for how long? I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you. Beatrice
