I know the feeling
I lost my onc. a year ago to a transfer she took in San Antonia. Great opportunity for her, but sad for me.
I have to say that I still email her (can you believe she gave me her email as busy as she is. She is heading the San Antonio Cancer Research Center so I know her time is limited.
Whenever I have a moment when I am getting scared and worried (which seems to be a lot lately) I email her and she responds to me instantly. Example, on Saturday (Saturday mind you)
I emailed her to get her advice on future treatments, and within one hour she had emailed me back. This women also has a life at home, but somehow she manages to remember her "friends" -which we became.
I think she is amazing and I truly miss her but feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with her.
So I know what you are feeling

TREAT: TAXOL/CARPO/HERCEPTIN. FAILED ON
THIS TRIO. STARTED ON ABRAXANE.
2006 - PROGRESS WITH 2ND TUMOR GROWTH.
TREAT: AUG. BEGAN ON TYKERB/XELODA
TRIAL. CONSIDERED STABLE TO DATE.
2007 - TAKEN OFF OF TYKERB/XELODA TRIAL DUE TO
PROGRESS STARTING TYKERB/AVASTIN.
NOV 2007 - SCANS SHOW PROGRESS TUMOR GROWTH
IN ABDOM. AND TWO NEW TUMORS IN NECK AREA.
BEGAN HERCEPTIN/AVASTIN/TAXOTERE
Feb 08 - Ixempra/Xeloda
June 08 - Her/DM1 trial
