Thursday June 15 - madubois63
Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know the pathology shows NO ACTIVE BREAST CANCER!!! So I am just dealing with the leukemia and am not excluded from becoming a bone marrow recipient!!!! All your wonderful prayers are working and all your love is keeping me going. I took 2 laps around the ward today and also got a massage (inpatient services) - very nice!!!! I also got some platelets, blood and tons of antibiotics. Today is day 11. I'll probably have a bone marrow biopsy on Monday to see if I need more chemo (hopefully not) or if I am in remission (please God). After that, then we can start planning the next step...the transplant. That won't be done here at this hospital. But I found out I may have a tiny little pull at 2 transplant centers near or in Manhattan. I have a cousin whose husband is on the board at Sloane and a cousin that works in the transplant ward at another hospital a little closer to home. But one thing at a time....I'm done with the chemo part and just trying to get stronger and not get sick. Thanks for all the love - it's keeping me going!!!!

So good hear from you. Awesome report no breast cancer cells!! Yes, one thing at a time. Some times we have to take baby steps and go from there. Will keep you in my prayers. If there is one thing this disease has done for me its straightened my faith. Every day I thank God just to be alive. I saw my primary physician (so far have had to see her only once a year)and she was amazed at how well I was and how good I looked. She said my hair look so natural and thought I was an amazing lady. She said a good atitude plays a big part in our healing. Wishing you well, sending you a big hug, Sandy
