My wife Cheryl Newell got a lot of support from Patti Z during her two years of fighting breast cancer. My wife lost her battle on Jan 8, 2004. I have been documenting a lot of her information that I plan to share with our children when they are adults recently and one of them is Cheryl's posts on this website. It reminds me how incredibly brave she was and I wanted to show that to her 3 girls. I also noticed how wonderful Patti Z ( as well as many many others ) was to my wife. I haven't emailed Patti in over a year and I didn't see any posts from her since last Oct 04. Patti are you still on here? If not, anyone have any information on her?

Dear Mike,
I'm very sad to here the news. It's always a tragedy when we loose someone to cancer but it must be an incomprehensible tragedy when you loose a spouse.

Wishing you all the best,
Al

Mike... I appreciate your herculean searching and efforts to contact me with news of dearest Cheryl.

What you are doing for your daughters is such a wonderful idea. It will give an intimate window into their mom's life, her emotions, personality, generosity, love and strength. Bless you for this.

I post infrequently under the ID: pattyz which may make a difference in a search of my posts.

Survivor guilt is a familiar feeling for me these past months. I am indeed still here for whatever reason/s. I remain NED in body with last scan showing a bit of small progression in brain. Report states: "one or two new small lesions." That is so 'iffy' a report I've been waiting to see what they do since March, next scans in Aug. Am doing well, with good QOL.

I am still hesitant to get excited about making plans that are way out there, yet have risked doing so a bit more of late.... trying to look at it as just 'therapy' for TODAY.

Blessings to you and your daughters, Mike.
Most sincerely,
pattyz
