Hi, everyone, need your prayers and good thoughts. On May 2nd I am going into Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa to have Chemoembolization done. I have read all I can find on it. I can't take any more systemic chemo at this point because my bone marrow is too weak. My Platelettes and Hgb are bottoming out with each chemo. So we are trying this. There is less systemic affects since most of the chemo will stay in the liver. I must say I am a little nervous about having my hepatic artery shut off, but that is part of the procedure, in order to cut blood supply to tumor.
I am hoping that this works and I can get some strenght back and be able to go about my life again.
So with me luck and think about me on Monday!
Peace,
Sherry
