carboplatin/herceptin anyone

Hi
I am still in a quandry over the chemo ans so is Onc.Has anyone had success with just herceptin/carboplatin.I have tried to follow those who seem to have had it but cannot pick up the threads in profiles of courage.

Lindaw, I am taking Carboplatin/Gemzar/Herceptin and getting good results for skin mets. I do get 10mg of decadron before each tx every 3 wks. The doc said it is to prevent a possible allergic reaction of the Carboplatin. Have tried to get her to reduce it due to decreased sleep & redness of face for a couple of days. Hope this helps. V

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply with advice. I am going to see my oncologist today and still feel scared about the possibility of osteonecrosis with the steroids so may try the herceptin/carbo first and see if that works. I will still try to get Miltex.
