It's just a semi formal recognition that drugs may or may not work by themselves, but whatever happens singly doesn't explore potential synergy. They specifically mention the concept being applicable to all drugs. A concept I hope many oncologists are already using to increase options. You know..it's not brain surgery
The harder question is whether there is more or less mileage to be had by using the combination to begin with.
