Becky, how is your sister doing?
Hi Becky,
Has your sister gotten the results back from her BRCA test? Also did she get a chance to bring up that trial that was using Herceptin for DCIS? If so what was his thoughts/opinion on that? Is she doing rads now? I sure hope she is holding up ok...I know how stressful it can be. Thankfully she has you to help her thru this...that alone has to be such a comfort to her. When you have a chance would love to hear how she's doing. Until then I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Becky, how is your sister doing?
Thanks for asking. On Thursday she is getting her BRCA results and then she will know her path - bilateral if positive, radiation if negative. I believe she will be negative like me but if she is positive, I am going to get looked at again (test results can get mixed up).
I don't know if she will do the trial. We did talk about it at length and I will follow up with her since we will be talking at least on Thursday.

Re: Becky, how is your sister doing?
Hi Becky,
Your poor sister having to wait so long for her BRCA results. I knew it took a while...but not quite this long. That waiting is the hardest part which I don't have to tell you. At least this has given you two time to consider all her options depending on her results. Here's hoping her BRCA comes back with negative results on Thurs....and wishing her all the best so she can get this all behind her. Thanks for the update.

Re: Becky, how is your sister doing?
My sister also tested BRCA negative (no mutations found) which was exactly like me (if she tested positive, I would have rechecked just in case they mixed up my results with someone else). She sees the rad onc tomorrow to start the radiation process.

Re: Becky, how is your sister doing?
Becky,
BRCA neg...now that's wonderful news...at least in the world of bc it is. I'm so glad she caught this early and now she has the information needed to move forward and get this all behind her. At the rate she is going she should be able to get this all out of the way in time for the Holidays so she can really celebrate. Thanks for sharing the news.
