Re: Turmeric

Hi
I also took a supplement with pepper in to aid absorption and bioavailability.
Due to low platelets I had to stop taking it which is a shame but like Becky I took quite a bit when having taxotere and also increased my beta glucan intake. Who knows if it works but we have to hope!!

Re: Turmeric

Just getting on this as I haven't been on the board in a while. I take 300 mg. (Solaray brand with 95% curcumin) twice a day, for a total of 600 mg.

But, I also sprinkle turmeric on my oatmeal (weird, I know! I've gotten used to it and like the color and taste), along with lots of pepper when I'm cooking it. I event put a splash of olive oil on top, too. Both turmeric and pepper are really great additions to many different dishes, from vegetables to rice!

Wink Re: Turmeric

Sometimes I put tumeric and pepper in my mixed veggies along with a little Extra virgin olive oil. I sprinkle cinnamon in my cereal after I take it off the stove. Then I put a big spoon of yogurt on top. Cinnamon is supposed to balance and keep glucose under control.
