Re: Has this happened to any of you?

Chelee,

My hot flashes were much more intense and frequent on Tamoxifen then on the Femara. Overall I find Femara much easier to tolerate, although the stiffness is a pain (HA! pun intended). I still have a few hot flashes daily, but because they are less intense I am not as aware of them.

Re: Has this happened to any of you?

Westcoastgirl, What you describe sounds close to what I use to have. I didn't call them a true hot flash as some women deal with. I would get really hot all of a sudden and try to cool down...then I would get the chills and actually put something over me to warm up when it was 80 degrees in here. It was more like my body temperature couldn't regulate. I did notice I use to have a few food triggers too that set them off.

But now since the Femara I have intentionally eaten the foods that use to trigger them and nothing happens. It's actually kind of nice...it's not like I miss having them. I hated breaking out in a sweat in the grocery store or wherever. No worries now. I just find this odd...never heard of this happening before?

Laurel, I agree...stiffness IS a pain. lol It is hard to get going after sitting...but things get better the more I move thank goodness.
