4 Years Ago Today!!
I have been so saddened by all of the losses lately. Such wonderful inspiring warriers. Just hoped to brighten someone's day. I was diagnosed 4 years ago today stage IIIA IDC. Today I am feeling great! Still NED. I never thought 4 years ago this day would come. I never thought I would see my daughter become a teenager. But I did. There is hope. I still have my worry days but I am so thankful for these years God has given me. Since my cancer diagnosis I try to make the most of every day and stop to "smell the roses". I never did that before. Thank you for this Board and all the encouragement you have given me.

Re: 4 Years Ago Today!!
Congratulations, Nancy. I am coming up on 4 years on April 18. I too, thought maybe I would not make it when I first heard the DX of Breast Cancer, Stage IIB. Then they told me that in years past the er-, pr- and HER2 plus was a very bad DX. But now it was 2006 and they could ofer me Herceptin and we think you will be okay. Well I started reading about my new DX and thought....I hope they are right about Herceptin. Anyway, 4 years later, I am fine and I, too, take more time to smell the roses. This is a great group and I have gained strength and wisdom here.
Hugs to all, Catherine

Re: 4 Years Ago Today!!
Michele and Paty thank you so much. Actually my onc got me on the Zometa. I am surprised my insurance covers it but so far it does. I get Zometa for 3 years, once every 6 months. I have had 3 so far. The first one was rough but after that no problems. I still have to go see my onc for bloodwork and checkup every 3 months. I don't know when he will go to every 6 months.
