Could it be manufacturing or tourism or bloated government?

I'm here (at work but checking in)

Hey thanks Vickie for the honorable mention. PinkGirl is right, I would feel like chopped liver if I was left off the "A" list from California.

My guess for major money-making industries in California is raising taxes - car tax, sales tax, tax on tax, you get the idea - we get taxed on EVERYTHING..... If that is not it l agree with Vickie and tourism. Add a little sunscreen sales (plus tax) to that and you have a real money-maker.

Back to work....ugh!!

Okay, good guesses, but Vickie got right. It's Aeorspace, whatever that is. This is all according to Wikipedia. The movie/entertainment industry was #5.

You all did very well with a couple of understandable exceptions.

Pink Girl, I think everybody know Pappy Yokum's first name is Lucifer, but you forgot his middle name which is the humor element.

Jeanette, the Prince Valiant question is a trick question. Prince Valiant moved to Camelot but he was born somewhere else.

Chrisy, it is The Family Circus but it used to be called The Family Circle but the name was changed after a legal dispute with the Family Circle Magazine.

Good job so far, all of you!
