Men and hormonal balance

Hi Becky,

My PCP's wife is a physician, and as part of her studies she investigated this topic. Although awareness of the importance of male hormonal balance is lower than for females, a fair number of men have low levels of testosterone and they have osteoporosis and osteopenia, and have more fractures, especially with age. Only recently have docs been prescribing supplemental testosterone along with increased vitamin D and calcium for these men. Hopefully it will help those with family histories of bc avoid bc as well.
