My oncolgist told me to rinse my mouth out with salt water to avoid the mouth sores. I did not do that as often as I should have, but when I started to get them I kept salt water in the bathroom and kitchen and rinsed my mouth every time I went into those rooms - the mouth sores cleared right up.
