I wasn't going to do this......but.......
I wasn't going to jinx myself but I think that it is safe now. I have completed ALL 3 of the taxotere and I am living to tell about it. I had the last tx on Thursday of last week. I have no appetite but also my throat is nothing like it was, I can eat and drink fine. The muscle pain is worse this time but I can live with that. I took advise and have been taking allergy meds which I think are the key. I noticed that after the Dex wears off I get itchy, there is no occurance of hives but that is what it feels like. Maybe it was an allergic reaction that was delayed because of the steroid?
I am so proud of myself and all of us who have completed this part of the journey. I have to say that this was by far the most difficult thing I had to do, and I gave birth 3x au natural, the first being 10lbs 6 ozs. That was an ouch!
I go on April 15th to be marked for Radiation and will start that the end of April for 5 weeks. Then I am taking the summer off to enjoy my life, my hubby and most of all my kids. they have been really good thru all of this and I think we all deserve some ice cream and some fun in the sun. (I'll enjoy the ice cream when my taste buds come back!)
I just want the say THANK YOU, DANKA, MERCI to everyone for their help, love and support.
Michelle

For me rads were a piece of cake compared to chemo the first time around. Hopefully it's the same for you. Enjoy your summer!

Yippee, chemo totally sucks! The radiation will be nothing in comparison! I've finished 15/30 and am totally fine - no side effects noticed yet!
Love,
Beth

I admire you. You faced an enormous challenge. Radiation should be easy compared to your experience with Taxol. Enjoy your ice cream and a wonderful summer.

The worst thing for me about radiation was going in there daily. It's right next to a major mall and I spent a fortune during that 30 days...lol..sherryg683
