Interesting

Not sure I understood much of what I read, but it was interesting. I am just going to hope that the Herceptin worked for me. I will be celebrating 2 years in April 08. I just hope to keep on being cancer free, however I get there.

Thanks for the article,
Catherine

I'm looking for feedback on my situation. my mother was diagnosed w\her2 breast cancer almost one year ago; she's 70 now. She also had a cva in 01. They did a modified radical mastectomy a year ago; she refused radiation and chemo following surgery. About 4 months ago the cancer returned, including a spot on her spine and two on her ribs. They started her on Herceptin. After 4 Herceptin tx's, the spot on the spine is larger and there are two new spots on her ribs. The oncologist wants to start her on Tykerb. I'm looking for anyone who has a similar situation or has been on Tykerb.
