Red face update on Shadowpilot 5th tx yesterday

Thanks Lynne for checking in on me. I have been reading a lot but not very verbal.

I am doing well after 5 Taxol/Herceptin treatments. My hair has been leaving me since the 3rd treatment so I had it buzzed this past Monday. I have some great little caps to keep my head warm. My Mom made one from alppaca(?sp) wool. It is so light yet warm. She is making a couple more.

I have been feeling good. Working part time and trying to add more fruits and veggies. My skin is dry a "thin" feeling. The inside of my nose is irritated and a little bloody.

I am working with two naturopaths who have recommended several supplements. Nothing antioxitant but help to control the onset of neuropathy and to help my nose and heart.

Thanks for all the information and thoughtful responses you all make. I appreciate all of you very much.

Sue

Hi Sue,
Glad to hear that all is going well. My diagnosis is quite similiar to yours. Like you, I was considering alternative treatments. I have seen numerous oncologists and only one has recommended proceeding with chemo and Herceptin. I have chosen to proceed and my first treatment is scheduled for next Thursday. Today I am feeling scared and questioning my decision. Warm Regards...
