Something I'm curious about. My onc's office has never used my port for drawing blood. I've seen where a lot of you get your bloodwork done thru your port. I wonder if it's just a preference thing? I finished my Herceptin last month and asked about having the port removed and was told let's wait a couple of monthes. Like I said, it hasn't been used for drawing blood or anything so I wonder why he wants me to keep it. I keep thinking that maybe he knows something that I don't. (I'm paranoid like that)!
