Update on treatment

I worked things out on my Herceptin treatment. Since the Onc was already writing off the provider discount, they will write it off for me now, instead of the insurance co.

I also asked for a new Pet scan, to see what my positive IM node is up to after chemo, rads, and now Herceptin.
I've also been having some pretty strong pain in my lower back and hip joints, so we need to see what's up with that. It could just be a side effect of H, but I'd like to know for sure, since it's getting worse.
I'll update you all when I get that scan.

Glad you were able to work this out Brenda - prayers were answered.
Now you can concentrate on getting well.
Hope the scan shows nothing at all - I'm hoping that your joint pain is just the s/e from Herceptin that many of us experience.

all the best

Brenda,

Glad you managed to work things out. It is important to make sure that the pain in your lower back and hips is nothing more than a side effect of the Herceptin. I know I have a lot of bone/joint pain with the Herceptin.

Hi Brenda
I'm very happy that you got things worked out and will be able to finish your Herceptin treatment. Good luck with the scans. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Thanks Ladies.

I will let you know what the scan says.

I am one of those patients that get copies of scans and reports, so I can look at it myself.

Hope your scans go well Brenda. I'm sure they will. I, too, had lots of joint pain while on herceptin. Taxol also but then again while on Taxol I was also receiving herceptin. The joint pain continued throughout the entire year of herceptin. Hips and knees especially. It's gone now though.

Hugs and Peace to you,

Mary Jo
