O.C. Register Article, 9.16.7 and her2support.org

Last month I was interviewed for a newspaper article by reporter Courtney Perkes, from the "Orange County Register" as part of a supplement for the Susan G. Komen walk, Race for the Cure, and it was published today, Sunday, Sept. 16 in the front section (page 4).

She profiled three of us who use online support services, each with different stories (one a young mother and the other dealing well with stage 4). In the story, I mentioned Becky and Steph N. as well as Ruth S, who used to frequent the board.

Enjoy and thanks again for always being such wonderful friends,

Vicki

newspaper story

Vicki,
Great article. I think the writer did a good job of conveying the stories with feeling and reality. I agree the internet, especially when used wisely, is wonderful. I know it was helpful to me during chemo. I loved being able to be in contact with my friends when I was too tired to talk to them individually on the phone. I still my local friends about my Her2 Site friends.

Thanks for sharing the article, Catherine
