WOW, I am so happy for you!!! NED is all about celebrating life...thats what I am going to do when NED and I finally "hook" up...hehe. Can't wait until he comes knocking on my door. God Bless you and your on this wonderful news.

Radiation scheduled for 6/07

Ceesun - Wow, that is great! I have my scan on Friday and I hope I hear the same wonderful words! I hope you really celebrated.

Currently on Tamoxifen
Dec 06 - Pleural effusion treated with pleurodesis
Now er/pr-, her2++
1/07 started weekly Navelbine plus Herceptin
Discontinued Tamoxifen
4/27/07 CTshowed progression
5/01/07 Began Tykerb/Xeloda + Zometa
5/22/07 Stopped treatment due to great progression

WELL MORE great news! Delighted to hear it - as I know you are!

Re your question does chemo go to the other breast? - Since chemo is systemic, it would "go" wherever the blood flow is (except the brain where crossing the blood brain barrier is a problem). So chemo may have been protective in your other breast as well.

12/10 Scans not clear....4/11 Scans suggest progression 6/11 progression confirmed in liver
07/11 - 11/11 Herceptin/Xeloda -not working:(
12/11 Begin MM302 Phase I trial - bust:(
03/12 3rd times the charm? AKT trial

5/12 Scan shows reduction! 7/12 More reduction!!!!
8/12 Whoops...progression...trying for Perjeta/Herceptin (plus some more nasty chemo!)
9/12 Start Perjeta/Herceptin, chemo on hold due to infection/wound in leg, added on cycle 2 &3
11/12 Poops! progression in liver, Stop Perjeta/Taxo/Herc
11/12 Navelbine/Herce[ptin - try for a 3 cycles, no go.
2/13 Gemzar/Carbo/Herceptin - no go.
3/13 TACE procedure

Agree with Chrissy, it should have went to your whole body. The only question is if your particular chemo targeted your specific cancer. Seems to be somewhat trial and error. Run with the good news. Enjoy it for now. Bev.
