Hello. I know that researchers from major cancer centers to drug companies are working very hard to further understand the Her family. There is much work being done so I continue to have hope. I read a while back about a clinical trial at MD Anderson that used a drug in conjunction with herceptin. You can Google RAD001+Herceptin for more info.

Here is a link to that trial: http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT00317720

Also you can search Herceptin the drug using the advanced search on the NCI website Here is the link: http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials

I know that it can be discouraging when tumor markers begin to rise. Sometimes tumor markers can rise due to cancer cells dying off so quickly or because of flare. High numbers can appear with no increase of disease, proper scans need to confirm.

I continue to look for new trials that offer new options. I can relate to you, I too have tried many different treatments. I also think that if one is not responding to treatment, then consider biopsy to double check the pathology.

I wish you the best. Hugs to you
