why 1 hour before eating - tykerb

Hi
Whilst looking at stuff on the net re: tykerb i came across a report called the Burriss ( or something like that) from a site ( which i have bookmarked at work) which loooks professional. on reading the report they spoke of the difficulty of tykerb absorption and how it absorps 3 times as much when taken with food. Why is it then that the protocol says 1 hour bwefore or 2 hours after eating?
