		Hi San Antonio Gang!
Well, I woke up dreaming I was there with you. (That is what 2 years attendance will do I guess.) Sandy, I dreamed you brought a lot of sweaters since it was so unseasonably cold there last year.

Anyway, I am glad to give up my spot on the team so someone else has a chance to attend this mind-blowing experience. I do miss that I will not be meeting people from all over the world who were amazed that our table was staffed by a bunch of Stage IV breast cancer survivors. AND we looked as good as anyone else on that Exhibition Floor!

Making the point that if the doctors and patients are willing to work together, new stats are being written on survival and quality of life. But all you gals are walking testimonials for Herceptin and now Tykerb. That really opens peoples' eyes.

There is SO MUCH information to take in that various "Ah Ha's" will be revealed weeks after getting back home.

3 mos after rads liver full of tumors, Stage IV Jan 2002, one spot on sternum
Weekly Taxol, Navelbine, Herceptin for 27 rounds to NED!
2003 & 2004 no active disease - 3 weekly Herceptin + Zometa
Jan 2005 two mets to brain - Gamma Knife on Jan 18
All clear until treated cerebellum spot showing activity on Jan 2006 brain MRI & brain PET
Brain surgery on Feb 9, 2006 - no cancer, 100% radiation necrosis - tumor was still dying
Continue as NED while on Herceptin & quarterly Zometa
Fall-2006 - off Zometa - watching one small brain spot (scar?)
2007 - spot/scar in brain stable - finished anticoagulation therapy for clot along my port-a-catheter - 3 angioplasties to unblock vena cava
2008 - Brain and body still NED! Port removed and scans in Dec.

		 I think you are wonderful!

I really did try hard to sneak in to meet you all, but the sweet little man just turned me around and said no badge, no entrance!
I have treatment at CTRC tomorrow and came in a day early (3 1/2 hour trip) to get some report copies etc. Was so hoping to meet you guys!
I can't wait to learn what you discover for us there!

What an inspiration to just see all the bodies, all the tote bags, sense all the excitement!
