We don't have control over things
My daughter was married last Saturday, so months of decorations and planning are now behind me...it was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding...but my daughter came down with a stomach virus 20 minutes into the reception, was vomiting non stop and I ended up taking her to the ER...wedding attire and all....(we were the best dressed at the ER I must admit). After 2 IV's and IV Reglan, they got the vomiting under control. Although we missed the whole reception, She was able to fly to Mexico the next day for her honeymoon. THEN...my 7 month pregnant daughter in law got it, and she ended up in the hospital....meanwhile I have had my 2 grandchildren all week (thank God we didn't get the virus) and I now know why women 54 are not in their childbearing years!!!! I have had a wonderful time with them, the zoo, swimming, fishing, parks etc.... I am exhausted, but I wouldn't trade this time for anything ...I have not even thought about CANCER this week. I have learned to limit the kids to 1 pop a day, and 50 questions each!!!! It doesn't get any better than this. They leave tonight...I may sleep for a week!!!!
