I need a path report 101 ???
Hi,
I just got my path report from my core biopsy and wonder if anyone can help me understand what it all means. It reads as follows:
Invasive ductal carcinoma, poorly differentiated, Nottingham scores:2 (tubular formation) +3 (nuclear grade) +3 (mitotic activity)=8/9, grade 3, with focal necrosis.
- INVOLVING 3 OUT OF 3 CORDS.
- NO DIFINITIVE LYMPHOVASCULAR INVASION SEEN
ER negative (0%)
PR negative (0%)
Her2/neu positive (2+/3+)
K167 positive (90%)
P53 positive (90%)
FISH test: The ratio of Her-2 to chromosome 17 centomere is 5.20.
I know what er/pr and her2 are and what they mean but what are the k167 and p53?
also what are they reffering to when they say 3 out of 3 cords?
and how good or bad is a 5.20 ratio on the fish?
If anyone can give me some help with this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch, Alice
