I just wish that we could get a break

this is all just so much to deal with.
My mum has not gotten over her infection
![Frown](http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/frown.gif)
she is still intubated and on the vent and it does not appear that she is going to recover from this
![Frown](http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/frown.gif)
She has been intubated for almost a month, they normally want you off after 14days. She was doing so well and then this stipid infection came

The oncologist can not and will not treat her unless something drastic happens to improve her as chemo will kill her.
It is a no win situation as why we are treating the infection and not the cancer the cancer is spreading
So we are facing serious tough decisions in the next few days as my mum is requiring more and more oxygen. We have talked with the pallitave care team and they explained that she can not go home as she is requiring to much oxygen 85% they explained what would happen to her when/if we remove the tube.
We just dont want to have to make that decision. It is all so unfair. Please pray that she is in no pain and that whatever we decide and whatever happens is for the best.
Love Nicola
