Vanassa: You need to call your oncologist ASAP. If you have an infection this is very dangerous. The port may need to come out. This is what I was told when I got mine. Anything that does not look or feel right call right away. I know when I have a question with mine they take me seriously. I have been in getting chemo and have seen patients rushed upstairs to get their port out because it was red and inflamed. I hope this is not the case with you but its better to be safe and then sorry later. Keep us posted. hugs, Sandy
