i have a friend studying Essiac for her masters thesis and highly recommends it. i also asked an alernative oncologist about it and he dismissed it saying he studied it extensively. there is a tremendous amount of anecdotal evidence that Essiac works. Some of the major institutions such as Sloan Kettering and NIH reject it but the supporters state the tests were not prepared as required for the tea. i would use it but have been cautioned against using it while taking chemo due to the possible interactions caused by the liver metabolism of both the tea and the chemo.
