When my onc. nurse pushes the navelbine I get an anti-nausea drug in the i.v. Do they give you some? I have not had any nausea.

The onc. took me off of tykerb/xeloda because I got the hand/foot...

I was taken off of tykerb/xeloda and now am on navelbine and herceptin. Yes, I've had the white blood cell counts too low and had to miss a dose of navelbine. My hemoglobin levels...

Yes, the onc. did reduce the dose of Xeloda, but sadly my hand/foot syndrome just continued to be yucko. Thanks for the web info!!!

Navelbin--hope I spelled it right.

Just wondering what results people have gotten on this drug. I'm starting it on Thursday. My onc. took me off of Tykerb and Xeloda--too many nasty side effects.

What causes the discomfort?

I suppose it is the meds that causes the discomfort???? I never had any problems until I started on Xeloda and Tykerb meds.

Question Not yellow--but bluish, greenish

I have a slight blue/green tint to my eyebrows. Who knows??? So I said to my husband, "Not bluebeard, but bluebrow."

I am 43 also and have had mets to ovaries, brain, vertebrae and hip. Jealous, huh? Herceptin no longer worked for me, so I am on xeloda/tykerb--started about two months ago. I don't have the rash...

another question....

Thank you to those who have responded to my question.

One more question....it seems that I am to take Tykerb everyday, but Xeloda I am to take for two weeks and then be off of it for two weeks....

Hmmmm....not liking Tykerb/Xeloda right now. The jog to the bathroom is unpleasant. For those of you who have been using it long term; do the side effects seem to regulate after awhile? Food is not...
