If you can...this is a excellant test.
I had the BSGI performed last Nov. it is easy and results are given on the spot. I am happy to see that Dr. are now using the test prior to surgery to ensure that the entire scope of the bc is discovered. Many dr. assume
the one site is all there is...especially with small tumors. I know before I had my lumpectomy none of the dr. suggested an MRI to be certain there was nothing else lurking in the breasts. I made the suggestion and then insisted on it before surgery. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/110485.php I think that one day it may even replace digitel mammorgrams. |
