My PET scan was iffy!

I hope someone can tell me if this happened to them....i did a PET scan because i felt something on my back. My back was ok, but my opposite nipple lite up on the scan. It said "nipple complex" was showing something. I'm concerned maybe Pagets disease? Or something along that line. I'm going to talk to my onc. about it too. My surgery area said, most likely post op changes. I'm concerned!! Dang, and it's going to be my 5 year this August!!

Did you have a masectomy on that side or reconstruction, I did have the same breast as my lumpectomy light up with very low suv on this last scan, in the area of the scar tissue. Oncologist wasn't concerned at all, but I will be watching it closely next scan. I've had a lot of pain and inflamation in this breast, could be the same for you. I'm hoping it's nothing, that 5 year mark is a good one to get to..sherryg683

Michele,
Do you have any other symptoms? Such as rash, scaly skin, itching on
that area? More than likely it is nothing especailly if no other symptoms are showing. Please let us know the update after your Dr. visit.

Best wishes,
Jean

Michele, I'll be praying that it's nothing at all and that your 5 year mark will be celebrated with complete relief! Please let us know what you hear! Yeah for that 5 years!!!!!

My onc. thinks it might be non-specific, meaning hopefully nothing. This is my opposite breast, that's why i'm worried. Sherry, my affected side did light up, with "probable post op changes" I expected that. I'm just worried this is the start of Paget's due to the nipple inflammation.

Michelle,

I am hopeful that this is nothing serious. Whatever it may be, you and your doc will be right on it!

Hugs and Prayers,
Lexi
