Great MRI Results

In May, I had WBR and Temodar for 11 spots. In July, they said some were gone, some were smaller and the rest the same. Then, today, the MRI shows everything gone except 1 tiny scar. YEAH!!

Also, my hair has started to grow back. I have a head full of fuzz. I look like a new recruit, but it's on its way.

It was a tough decision to do the WBR. However, I think the low-dose everywhere except when absolutely essential was the way for me to go. It has to be, I can't change it now. LOL

Congratulations on your MRI results. I am hoping that all of your MRI's are clear. Best wishes.

Super news!

WOW!
Thanks, Susan, the fact that brain mets are scary, yet treatable is coming through loud and clear on this board.

Looks like Temador has done a good job for several here.
Great work, and we really appreciate the update.

Beautiful Brain

Susan
When your brain is all clear. the radiologist likes the phrase "Beautiful brain" for a clear brain.

I'm overjoyed that all is well !!

Could you let me know what were your daily doses and how many days you received treatment? We need this kind of info, especially since you are doing so well.! I would appreciate knowing this, as i could be helpful for others in the future.
Thank you and Congratulations!
Warm Hugs,
Christine

Do you want to know the daily doses of radiation or Temodar? I'll need to check for exact numbers. I had 24 total doses - Temodar daily with the radiation. I had a 2 step radiation treatment - whole brain first and then just the problem areas the second half.Beautiful brain - I like that!

Susan,

That's great news! I too have the "new recruit" look going on. Mine has actually gotten a little past the fuzz stage. Hope that you continue to have a "beautiful brain."

Christine - Dosage

7 days wbr @ 180 cgy for a total of 1,260. 17 days specialized @ 180 for 3,060.

So, the affected areas got 4,320 while the unaffected areas got only 1,260.

Hope that helps.
