The analysis predicted that a compound called indole-3-carbinol (I3C) can likely bind to WWP1 and prevent it from interacting with PTEN. I3C is found naturally in small amounts in some vegetables, including broccoli and brussels sprouts. It’s also sold over the counter as a dietary supplement....

I did some research on Indole-3 carbinol. The chemical has quite a few anticancer actions, downregulating angiogenesis, downregulating NF-Kappa beta (which contributes to angiogenesis) and downregulating a pro cancer enzyme known as Histone Deacetylase.

At least in the test tube I-3C prevents human papilloma virus induced carcinogenesis. Estrogen stimulates HPV carcinogenesis and I-3-C interferes with the enzyme aromatase
which produces potent estrogens.
