Thanks Lani. It's great to get new information and these are very informative. I thought there was more people with ibc.
One said 200,000 a year, I guess that means that many living with ibc in the US.

Yes, it must be talking about the 'total' number of all IBC survivors. Below is the statistics I found about IBC:

Although there is some disagreement in the numbers, IBC probably accounts for about 1% to 3% of all breast cancers diagnosed in the United States.

And below is the number from CDC (Center for Disease Control):

In 2005, (the most recent year for which statistics are available), 186,467 women were diagnosed with breast cancer, and 41,116 women died from the disease.† Although more white women get breast cancer, more black women die from it.

† U.S. Cancer Statistics Working Group. United States Cancer Statistics: 1999–2005 Incidence and Mortality Web-based Report. Atlanta (GA): Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Cancer Institute; 2009.

Based on the numbers given, IBC will be approximately in between 1864 (1%) to 5592(3%) in 2005.
