So far I've had no problems...knock on wood. It must be a small glitch caused from switching server's that needs worked out.

I know that has happend to me before too and it took awhile before I figured out why it was happening to me.
I realized that there are many times I forget to log on and e-mail notifications will not be sent unless we log back onto the site.
I doesn't seem that the rest of the forums work that way though. The forum "Keeping your mind off BC", I forget to return to that forum until I get an e-mail that a new reply has been posted so that has become a reminder for me.
Actually, Andi, it is you. Several weeks ago, Joe and I were grilling some steaks and beer-drinking in his backyard. He seemed a little quiet, so I gripped his shoulder, looked him in the eye, and said, "what's wrong, Joe?" "Bill, this site has one too many members, and I'm not sure who to cut loose" I quickly offered to get him another beer and lifted the lid on the grill and flipped the steaks over, fanning the aroma towards Joe. "It's not me, is it, Joe? 'cause I can bring these steaks over anytime. I know a 'guy' than can gimme a good price". Joe took a big swig of his Michelob and waved his hand around,"No, it's not you, Bill" "Joe, you don't need to say it. I already know it's Andi, isn't it?" Joe teared up and just nodded yes into his beer, and then held his empty bottle out to me. I hauled ass into the kitchen and grabbed anothe one for him. Christine caught me, though, and said, "what's taking so long with the steaks out there?" "Uhhh, we just wanna get 'em right. I think they're almost done. Be right back!" I sprinted back to Joe with his fresh beer. "Joe, my brother, I had an idea. I can take care of this problem for you. What if we just don't notify Andi via e-mail whenever someone responds to a post she has made?" Joe whispered, "Bill, what if this can be traced back to me?" I looked him dead in the eye and said,"Sir, I will be your G. Gordon Liddy and you are my Nixon." Joe took a swig of beer, grinned, and said, "let's eat"

Here's the deal. I do not get along well with computers.
At my hair salon, I went to pay. The several receptionists were all Very busy. Finally, one (who I hadn't meant before) said, Okay, What's your name? I said, Andrea. Her mouth fell open and then she smiled. YOU'RE THE ONE. EVERY TIME WE TYPE IN YOUR NAME -- THE COMPUTER CRASHES! I swear, it is really weird. The other receptionists stopped and turned and said, It's true. Every time we enter your name the computer freezes.
I assured them that I was truly a nice person, and to please not take this mishap personally.
So now I have some clarity here with the malfunctioning notification thingy on this site. The HER2 site sees me and somehow senses my energy and ignores me. It's definitely not Joe. He loves me, I'm sure. How could he not??
But the site is acting very rudely at times lately, as you already know. I will try sending out a more receptive signal from here on. Maybe that'll work... Seems to be behaving since I rechanneled...

Andi, I think maybe the computer is in kahoots with your ego....and they are just trying to test your spirit's inner strength.
BTW, I have never noticed any lapses with threads I have posted.

Hmmmm... Maryanne, you could be on to something here. Machines make me feel strikingly inadequate, vulnerable, helpless and ill-equipped. Just plain intimidated.
Egoically I wish and want this not to be so. This creates the intensity of wanting, which is confrontational and therefore wreaking with negativity.
Whereas when enthusiasm encounters obstacles in the form of adversity and uncooperative entities it walks around them by yielding the opposing energy and turning it into a helpful one. The foe becomes the friend.
Enthusiasm and ego cannot coexist. Much like faith and fear.
Just now I accidentally hit a button on my remote control and my TV is total static. I have frustratedly pushed every button on the remote to rectify the problem and -- nuttin.
Now of I can find a way to *channel* (no pun intended) my frustration and fear into enthusiasm, I could perhaps rectify my problem. OR -- I could wait till Paul comes home and let him fix it in a jiff.
Note I have given up (at least temporarily) and am catching up on e's. Much more productive at the moment.
Is ego akin to evil forces, do you think? I am suddenly seeing that you add a *d* to evil -- you have the devil. Just thinking out loud. So to speak... http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/2b00001c91/06
The voice in my head says you are a dolt Andrea and you will never defeat the static situation. I am going back in there, armed with my Spiritual connection and see what I can do. I AM STRONG, BRAVE AND DETERMINED...
And I am channeling major positive energy to you Hermi! To be sure!!

Good advice PinkGirl. Yea Andi, when you see the trauma coming your way, recognize it and deal with it in anyway OTHER then with fustration and irritability. You can always walk away and deal with it later. And what is good with computers is you can shut it down.
BTW...a quick story,....my computer was giving me h---. I was already to order a new one. I was deciding whether it was worth the price to pay a tech to come over and fix it or get a new one. Then the next day, I was cleaning the computer room and I just hit the on button and bingo...it just came on and acted normally. It has remained fine ever since. Wierd....totally wierd.....

http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/anmls/animals-parrot When all seems lost (computer wise), my SIL tells me to -- REBOOT. Shut it down and restart it. Whatever was ailing the poor thing seems to vanish.
That works for us too. Like the Sabbath (an island in time) we can rejuvenate ourselves with a little rest. And prayer always help, of course.
So, Harriecanariebird, your positive Energy, tidying up, and having given yourSelf (and the puter) a reprieve seems to have to created a new reality! There's nothing weird about that.
Plus, maybe the puter heard, or sensed, your thoughts of doing away with it, and it wanted to prove to you that it wasn't dead yet. It's *Essence* was still alive. http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/thghts/smile
Yes, Pink, I must remember that machines needn't be my undoing. I still have power to find a way we can get along. Midst utter exasperation that is most difficult to recall at the moment, but I will try to think of your wise words and assuage the issue. I can do this. I have faced breast cancer, as you and I always remind one another. That always serves to make me stronger.
Thanks, my Sisters. As for you Wild Bill, and your wild imaginings, you are entertaining to say the least. It is always good to laugh. Highly therapeutic. So I thank you too for your contribution(s)... http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/2b00001c91/06

Andi, this may sound somewhat outlandish, but you obviously have a very strong spirit and you know how to keep it very ...hmmm, what word am I looking for....opposite of being surpressed. Anyways, your spirit must emit more energy out of your body then most people who are not as in touch with their inner selves. What I am leading up to is....maybe....the energy you give off somehow causes interference with the energy from computers. Told you this was an outlandish thought.

Maryanne, I think we ALL HAVE A mighty force within us! If we learn to align ourSelves with our Spirit, which is our Truest Self, we begin to send out signals on a very high, fast frequency wave. Others sense and respond to this. So does the Universe. And, I am beginning to see -- so do inanimate objects!
Just staying connected to your Higher Self keeps you at an electrifyingly awesome pitch. We just have to learn to switch channels and stop identifying with the voice inside our heads. We have to start seeing the world through the eyes of our Soul, which is who and what we truly are.
Your outlandish notion is quite on target, Harriecanariebird.

Andi, I also feel like our minds and emotions can also build up like an insullation around our Spirit. I think the intention is like a protection-insullation, but in reality it is more like an inhibitory factor which prevents one from appreciating the true beauty of life.
The "only" good thing about that insullation I guess is that at least it can prevent a energy flow conflict with the computer and other electical devices creating malfunction! Kinda like a surge surpressor! LOL!

Hi there Maryanne,
Been thinking about your post. And you too, often BTW. You have such a great energy!
Are you speaking about building up a hardened shell around your heart? Like when you've been so deeply wounded and disappointed that you feel you need to protect yourself from further hurt?
Yes, you're right. What that does in the long run is keep you from participating in the Oneness we all share. With one another, and with All That Is. We are closed to receiving Universal Love or seeing our blessings and the beauty around us. We seal ourselves off, walling ourselves in, isolating ourselves. So no wonder, we then feel alone.
Midst my 2nd round of shock and awe chemo, after my recurrence, I would virtually languish in bed, in pain from head to toe, nauseous and out of it, but in the evenings I would push myself to get up, shower and dress and go out to dinner with my DH Paul, and often with my favorite friends. It was enormously therapeutic! And good for Paul who was even more scared I was going to die than I was, if that were possible.
Mostly, I had a smile on my face. When asked how I was I would answer 2 ways. Today wasn't a good day, but tomorrow will be better. Or I'd simply say, Good. I'm alive. And thrilled to be here.
But surely, I had my moments. The dark, fear-riddled ones and the little pity parties I would feel swept away by. I recall sitting in a local restaurant and for some reason I turned and glanced back into the long room. It was filled with well dressed people chattering and laughing away. I thought -- They have no idea what it is like to be where I am. They are like Innocents, speaking of inanities, the latest trip, most recent jewelry purchase, problems with their pools, their manicurist and such.
And there I was, feeling like I had the worst flu I had ever experienced in my entire life, fighting not to pass out, clammy and swept with chills, and you know what I mean. Who but all my Sisters and Bros on this board know better, after all?
But I would consciously bring myself back to Life and the love I felt at my table (with people I treasured, talking about things of matter and wanting my input). I reminded myself of my blessings and embraced them with a new passion that came with the threat of losing it all.
I stopped the noise and voice in my head and I went within to make contact with my Essence.
Another time I will tell you about my weird experience with electrical jolts. In response to you, Harriecanariebird, referring to me as being in need of a surge protector. We are all energy, you know. And when we are *connected* to our vibrant Spirit we are really charged up!!
Sending happy, healthy energy to y'all, with love,
Andi http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/anmls/animals-butterfly

When you finished your treatments, did you go back to being like these people ... talking about trips, jewelry purchases, manicurists etc.???
I remember looking at people and thinking that they had no idea how horrible I felt ... do you think we have a right to do that? When we're not sick, are we supposed to be thinking about the people who are sick and be grateful we're well? Just wondering .... I think about this when people say "you have no idea.......". Are we supposed to? By the way, I am still sick.

My Pink One,
I never was one of those people, but I surely saw the world anew as a result of death by cancer scare, my loss of a breast, my chemo experience and all...
I have felt that "OTHERS HAVE NO IDEA* as a result of childhood traumas, major crises in my life. I think we have all felt that at times. It is a natural human thought, which never seems to fail to surprise. But as it does, I believe it edifies! We become softer, gentler, kinder, more compassionate and empathetic, more giving and understanding, wiser and more than we were before!
Those who haven't experienced *canser* http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/badday/greenface often say they don't want to call friends who have been diagnosed. They don't know what to say. They avoid them in supermarket aisles. Hiding. Ill equipped to ease the pain of another they once called Friend.
I tell them that it always seemed to comfort me when people told me, I can't stop thinking about you. I am so sorry you have to go through what you are going through. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. I think about you every day.
When I try to comfort friends who have lost a spouse or still worse, a child, a grandchild, I cannot say I understand how you must feel. THANK GOD!!! But I want you to know I grieve with you. My heart aches for you. I love you. I care. I believe the one who has passed on (to the Spiritual Realm) still exists. Death is not the end of the story. And your Loved One is surely at peace. Watching over you. Wanting you to live your life with even greater passion and enthusiasm.
And Pinkie, I surely hope your horrid flu of 2 wks soon passes. I am proud of you for nursing yourself all along. Drinking lots of fluids, OJ, taking lots of C and zinc, etc., etc., etc. I know how distasteful all that is to you, but I am elated that you are doing all within your power to get back to Life!
Everyone of us is fighting a battle. Many silently. Yet it is a reality we should try to remember (especially when someone is acting like a jerk). I am NOT referring to anyone specifically. Just a general realization I have come to Know...
Love to all.

Hello Andi!
Sorry it took so long to get back to your post. In regards to:
Are you speaking about building up a hardened shell around your heart? Like when you've been so deeply wounded and disappointed that you feel you need to protect yourself from further hurt?
The hardened shell is a biproduct of the ego's reaction to life experiences and issues from the past. It forms over the Spirit, the function of which is to protect and insulate the Self from harm and fears.
Our Spirit is the purest energy within ourselves and contains a powerful amount of force. I believe you have the ability to minimize the amount of insulation (or hardened shell) that your ego can build up around your spirit if allowed to do so. For that reason, I think you are able to emit much more energy outward then most people do.
And that is why you run into problems with computer malfunctions and lightening experiences.
So what do you think? Are my ideas far-fetched?

Hello Maryanne,
I believe that if we live with an open heart, which I learned to do over time, I am in fact inviting and magnetizing Universal Energy of like quality. I have chosen to be a vessel of pure, radiant Universal Love. It is highly charged, very true. It is a force to be reckoned with. It blesses my life, returning my output tenfold!
These ideas are thought of as goony goo perspectives by some. I guess those people simply aren't ready yet to open to such possibilities. Fortunately for us, Einstein, Edison, Newton, the Wright Brothers and so on proceeded with minds that were open to what others saw as impossibilities. They were laughed at, chided, ridiculed, seen as fools. I have no problem here. I Know what I Know, just as Dennis Slamon KNEW Herceptin would work, even as others were hesitant to fund his clinical trials to prove that to be so. Now, he is a hero. Surely he is MY HERO!
Imagination is even greater than knowledge, Edison noted. He let his mind wander into strange territory and the fruits of his labors, along with the above mentioned, changed the world!
You are not far-fetched, Harriecanarie. You are bravely OPEN and discovering new ideas that can only serve to better our lives...
With love, http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/anmls/animals-butterfly
