Hello,
I hope someone's had this problem and come through it. The liquid around the lungs of our friend with IBC, HER2, ER-PR- cancer has cancer in it. she's now on oxygen and I'm not sure anything else is being done. the answer is she's too weak for chemo but I don't see how she can recover if she doesn't get chemo or at least herceptin. She has cancer in the ganglions and I think a small tumor in the lungs and now her eye seems weird.
Please give me your advice. I am very worried for her.

Sarah,

Can the liquid be drained?

I'm praying for your friend's recovery.

Best, Joan

they keep draining it and I was told they won't fill the drained cavity with talc, a common procedure apparently, because there's cancer there.
very worried

and involves involvement of the nerves at the top of the lung which are on their way to the face and cause the eyelid to droop. Of course I could be wrong and she could have brain mets or even mets to the orbit around the eye.

I'm sorry I can't add more to the list of what trials there might be in France.

Don't know if I have really helped you with this info...

Hope some of the info already sent on trials proves useful.
