I am constantly in pain with something.... chronic headaches, back, (r) side pain, (l) leg pain, (l) foot going numb on one side on occasion, high bp, my heel even hurts, and has hurt for over a month! I had clots last yr, which resulted in a stay in ICU, and a new port. High cholesterol,
I am on Neurontin for possible nerve damage after Navelbine ( (l) side pain, Lisinipril for BP, Fiorecet for headaches, coumadin for clots, Ambien for sleep, ativan for everything else..... along with Zetia for chlestoral, protonics for daily heartburn, and aaarrrrrgggg! I feel like I am falling apart! 4 yrs ago, before all this started I took nothing! I was never ever sick!

Hi Dede,
No, I don't think you're alone in the aches and pain department. I have different aches and pains also that I never had before. Sometimes though I wonder what aches and pains we had before that we never paid attention too because we didn't really notice them. Since a cancer diagnosis I think we are looking and watching for everything HENCE are much more aware of every ache and pain.
A gentle hug I give you.http://www.her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif

I was diagnosed with recurrence in December. I am currently on Navelbine and Herceptin. I had 'stiff" achy ankles when I took my original year of herceptin. My onc told me it would go away when I stopped taking it, which it did. Now that I am back on it again, the stiffness and aches are back and it does include my heals this time around. I also find myself questioning every little ache or pain I am feeling, especially since at my recurrence diagnosis I felt so darn good, other than a nagging dry cough. Have you ever asked if the combination of meds you are taking now could be causing some of the effects you are dealing with? I am so sorry you have to deal with all of this, you are in my prayers.

I know what you mean - I don't have as many specific issues, just what we refer to at our house as "mom is feeling ache-y break-y" today.
Good luck w/ things,

I sure do identify with what you said! Never an ache goes by without me worrying that there is something devastating going on! I do have more aches and pains than 'before'...my whole chest area has weird numb spots and strange nerve sensations...some days worse than others. The joint pain from Herceptin has subsided, but Arimidex also has some of the same side effects. Most days I feel lucky to be alive and try to enjoy the aches and pains as proof that life handed me lemons and I am drinking lemonade as fast as I can!!!
