If the results of this phase 1 clinical trial are confirmed in a larger population of patients it would provide new hope to those becoming resistant to anthracyclines and/or taxanes. Moreover no need to go to hospital for IV's since both vinorelbine & capecitabine are available in pill form.
Also, given that both drugs are individually approved, the more daring oncs may be willing to precribe the combo off label before completion of the phase 2 & 3 trials.

A phase I study of an all-oral combination of vinorelbine/capecitabine in patients with metastatic breast cancer previously treated with anthracyclines and/or taxanes.
