Genomic Health Inc. (http://www.bizjournals.com/search/bin/search?q=%22Genomic%20Health%20Inc%22&t=twincities), which makes gene-based cancer tests, entered into an agreement with the affiliate of Minnetonka-based health insurer UnitedHealth Group. The new deal establishes coverage across all of UnitedHealthcare's plans for women with early-stage breast cancer. Coverage will become effective for claims for services performed on or after Jan. 3.

Contracts in place for Oncotype DX cover over 98 million people.
