Dear everyone.

I have been asked, if I would share my treatment choises with you. I will be glad if it can be of any interest for some of you. First a little information. I was diagnosed in 1997 and I live in Denmark. I have bc in both my breast and metc. to skin, nodes and both lungs. Stage 4 for the last 5 years. Here is my treatment during the years with bc.

Please let me know, if some you out there are thinking that other drugs would be an idea. Next week I have my ct scan, my onck. and I are planning to switch to Alimta together with Herceptine, because my lungs are getting worse.

Here is my treatment during the years:

1997
9 rounds of CMF chemo kombination
6 rounds of Epirubicine
1999
5 Rounds of Taxotere
Hercetin alone for nearly 2 years
2002
Iressa for 4 month
Xeloda for 4 rounds
Herceptin and Navelbine nearly a year
2004
Herceptin and Carboplatin 8 month
Herceptin and Gemzar 8 month

Next choise Herceptin and Alimta

Any other idea?

Kind regards
Helle

Dear Helle,

It's great to hear from your again. I have wondered of your where-abouts.
Consider avastin as it has shown favorable results in HER2 disease.

Dear Helle

My name is Bitten, I have just made a threat on this homepage, which you can read if you like. I am from Denmark as well, and have been reading your mails about your treatments. I am curious which hospital in Denmark you are using, and which you with your experience will recommend for patients with BC, HER2 positive, spreading to the lungs with metastases ? How are you doing with the Alitma ?

I wish all the best for you.

The best
Bitten
