hi everyone!
Here is the link to the story I wrote about breast cancer--they made it the cover story! It was published in the October issue of the Scene, a local monthly magazine in my area. I also had the honor of designing the cover.
www.valleyscene.com (http://www.valleyscene.com)
Click on the "cover story" button and you will see the story. This will be online through at least the end of October. I quoted several of you--thanks again for your help!!
Happy reading :-)

While I was at the Cure conference I mentioned your name to the new CEO of Cure Magazine in regards to a potential for a good article on Her-2 and the Single woman/mother. She seemed very receptive to the story-line. Perhaps you should contact her to follow up.
I have been surprised at how many of us on the board are in this situation as I thought I was the only one so "cursed"...smile. But, seriously, you do WRITE very, VERY, well and there are plenty of us on the board who could share our perspectives with you so you would have a lot of real life data for the story.
Cheers,
Gina
This is my first time to the site Val and I was very impressed with your article.

Thanks, everyone, for your positive comments about the story :-) I will work on sending the cover art and the story to Joe so he can put it on this website after November 1st when it will no longer be on the publication's site.
And the story idea for Cure magazine is a great idea, Gina--I will contact her and see if she would like me to work on a story. If she does, you will be one of the first people I contact!!

The November issue of the Scene will soon be published, so the breast cancer story will disappear from their website. If you want to access the story again for yourself or for someone else, I have it posted within my personal website. Here is the address:
http://journals.aol.com/valleygirlvnp/BreastCancerUpdates/
Look for the first two entries for October 10, 2005--you will find the story there. (Of course you are welcome to read the rest of my site, but it is long and time-consuming :-)
