Dear Friends,
Now that Celebrex is also on the hit list after Viioxx fell from grace, we should be aware of more natural substitutes. Pure Prescriptions is a company I have delt with in the past and has excellent customer service, (no I don't have stocks in the company) but am on their mailing list. I've included a link for those who would like to read about natural COX-2 inhibitors.

Hey Al,

Thanks so much for posting this. I'm always trying to read whatever I can to help Rachel figure out what is best to add to her daily supplements.

The only thing I'd add is that women who are strongly er+ might want to track down whether any elements of the cox-2 inhibitors are estrogenic and then decide for themselves what the cost/benefit on it is.

I know that garlic and green tea and quercetin are supposedly particularly good as cox-2 inhibitors so they are worth looking into.

And as always it's good to check the sloan kettering supplement website as well as Muriel Montrbriand's recent series of online articles in Oncology Nursing Forum to double check for possible interactions etc.

All the best,
Jeff

Hey Al and all,

here's part III of the IV part series. It will help you get to the other parts too.
But if you're going to use it, plan to read it very carefullly--her organizing schemes sometimes are shaky and make it sound as if "good herbs" are actually bad.
