Its all about attitude~~~
I was feeling down yesterday after not being able to get my chemo....AGAIN due to low counts, and a friend sent me this....it really hit home
There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So she did and she had a wonderful day
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.'
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and
noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head
'YAY!' she exclaimed 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
Attitude is everything
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.. Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly, and pray continually
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass It's about learning to dance in the rain. It's not what you gather, but what you scatter, that tells what kind of life you have lived. Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right and pray for the ones who don't.

Re: Its all about attitude~~~
Thanks Sheila !! I appreciate the story. We all have our ups and downs, but it is good to remember life is still good through it all. When things aren't going my way, I try to figure out wha I am supposed to learn from the experience.
Try to eat alot of fruits, veggies and mushrooms to get those white blood cells up. Liquid iron and beans with alot of protein and iron may help the red blood cells. Believe it or not blackberries have alot of iron too !! I keep a package of frozen blackberries in the freezer all the time. I have been anemic off and on for 30 years.

Re: Its all about attitude~~~
Sheila,
Thanks for this post. Attitude means a lot to how we feel and cope. I know that from my own treatment disappointments. Your persistence in fighting this disease makes me feel stronger, and I'm sure other women on this board feel the same way.

Sheila,
What a great post!
I'm so sorry you couldn't get your treatment. You must have been so frustrated and discouraged.
God Bless the friend who sent you this story!
And, God bless you for being open to it, even when you were feeling down! You really are an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
I'll be praying for your counts to go up.
