Re: Anyone else multicentric?

Redwolf,

I was multi-centric with extensive DCIS and an invasive lesion. I have mucous cancer, which is quite rare, however one of its hallmarks is multi-focal lesions.

Re: Anyone else multicentric?

Yes - one main tumor and a very small DCIS in the margin. No one called it by that term, and the DCIS was noted when slides sent for second opinion.

That prompted breast MRIs, but no other lesions were detected.

Hope they got all your spots.

Re: Anyone else multicentric?

In many cases HER2+ presents itself as multicentric-I was told this by my Onc. I too had 2 tumours (1:00 -1.8 cm & 11:00 .8 cm). Most woman I know who are HER2+ have more than one tumour.

Re: Anyone else multicentric?

I had two in right breast - one was er-/pr-/HER2- (triple negative) and the other was er-/pr-/HER2+++. Made for interesting decisions on treatment.
