Has anyone been reimbursed by Aflac for treatment with Herceptin?

My claim was denied. I suppose they argue that Herceptin is a "preventative" rather than "treatment."

Re: Has anyone been reimbursed by Aflac for treatment with Herceptin?

Hey Barbara,

It wasn't AFLAC, but I had Conseco. They paid on everything for two years, then just stopped. I had a heck of a time trying to find out what was going on. Was finally told that at 2 years, anything I was doing was considered preventative, so they no longer paid. A real bummer, because the agent had told me they would pay for Arimidex for as long as I was on it. Funny----that agent left the company just before my claims started being denied!
