Sis has finished the taxol....

and has a few weeks off before starting her radiation. Back in March, she couldn't wait until December and now it is here. She took the most recent part of her chemo on a weekly schedule, and is growing her hair back (slowly). Still no eyebrows or eyelashes, but she's gotten very good at the makeup application! She will continue to do the herceptin, of course--on a three week schedule. If all goes well, she is hoping to be all done in August.

It occurs to me, as I write this, how grateful we are for all the encouragement she has received here. You ladies and gents rock!

Wishing everyone well. You are all in my prayers.

Re: Sis has finished the taxol....

Barb, great to hear the actual chemo is done and your sis will find the herceptin a breeze compared to that!
Rads were very easy for me too apart from the fatigue, I did'nt burn but did use 100% natural aloe vera which I think really helped.
My best to you both

Hi Barb,
Herceptin will be so easy compared to what you sister has done. She will have it much easier now and everything will grow back in time- which is also much more pleasant (and fun) than all of the loss.

Re: Sis has finished the taxol....

Thanks, Barb, for the update and the nice comment.

Glad your sister is on the schedule. My 2nd Sister flew in from overseas and took care of me for two full months before being summoned back by her husband...

Thank you for taking care of one of 'our' sisters...
